Alternative Process Photography
Alternative process refers to any non-traditional or non-commercial photographic printing process.
Cannabis
Using digital methods intended to produce a series focusing simply on the light and shape of the plant, Cannabis is presented in a style imitating traditional salt printing.
Sheer
Created using traditional darkroom printing combined with the mordançage process, this series addresses the inherent interaction between the focus of an image and the process used to create it by presenting the subject as “wearing” mordençage.
Round
Exploring the perspective of roundness in everyday objects, the coffee filter paper printed with cyanotype resizes all the subjects to an 8-inch diameter.
Burn
Platinum/Palladium printed on burnt Canson Opalux paper, backed with metallic paint. Burn presents the transformative nature of fire, as the subject and creator of the series.
