We do not see things as they are.
We see things as we are.
-Anaïs Nin
Hello there, I am EJ.
There is a piece of myself in each image I make and by expressing visually the things that light my soul on fire I make connections with the world around me. My work with various archival printing methods includes cyanotype, platinum/palladium, Van Dyke Brown, tri-color gum, salt, mordençage, and hand-coloring. These techniques allow for the creation of a one-of-a-kind image, hand-made with intent and dedication to the craft of alternative process printing. I specialize in candid moments, preserving slices of time whose meanings are forever changing, unique to the person looking at them. Whatever the medium, -be it a phone screen, a gallery wall, or a photo album- there is a connection formed between myself and the audience via the image, and I am humbled and grateful to have a link with those who view my work.
